Q) HOW DO I KNOW I WILL BE HAPPY WITH MY WEBSITE?
A) We are happy to design your website before you pay for it - if you don't like your new website then you don't have to purchase it!
Q) I ALREADY OWN A DOMAIN NAME CAN I USE THIS FOR MY WEBSITE?
A) Yes, we need to register your domain name in our name in order to upload your website to it, we can point it to a domain name of ours so you can keep registration of it but this is a less satisfactory method as you would need to point your domain name to an address owned by Clear Images and this can affect your Search Engine Ranking and your domain name address will not show in the address bar which can put off some visitors. Although you are transferring your domain name the domain name remians your property and should you cancel your website package before the year is up we "unregsiter" your domain name and the domain name is returned to you so you can re-register. The cost of a domain name is included in the package although we will not reimburse a customer for any fees they have paid to an external supplier in relation to domain names.
Q) HOW DO I GET TEXT AND IMAGES ON MY SITE?
A) All you need to do is send it to us - the most convenient way is to send via email along with instructions on where to put the images or text send your text as a simple word file and images must be sent as Jpegs (this is the standard method for storing images) You can also post images and text on a CD or DVD but these must be accompanied with clear instructions to enable us to upload correctly first time. Unfortunately we cannot take instructions or dictation over the phone or hard copies of text e.g written pages/documents/faxes. Q) WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE SOME INFORMATION I NEED TO PUT ON MY WEBSITE IN A FEW WEEKS OR A FEW MONTHS TIME?
A) Just send it to us and we will upload - you have monthly updates service on your wesite design package so you need never worry about your website becoming out of date. Monthly updates are limited to two hours per month. With two hours per month we can work on all webpages and upload images and text to all pages in your website design package. We have never found that two hours is not enough for any updates given to us.
Q) HOW MUCH DOES THE WEBSITE DESIGN PACKAGE COST AND ARE THERE EXTRA CHARGES AFTER I PAY THE INITIAL FEE?
A) The website design package costs £150.00 + VAT per year - A total of £176.25 per year. There are no extra fees once you have brought your package, many website packages offer you the chance to upgrade to a better service - we offer that level of service as standard and we only have one package on sale. There are no added extras and THERE ARE NO HIDDEN CHARGES!
Q) DO I HAVE TO RENEW MY WEBSITE PACKAGE AT THE END OF THE YEAR?
A) No, we want you to of course but if you feel you don't want to renew for another year than you don't have to. The price of renewal will be £150.00 + VAT TOTAL: £176.25 per year.
Q) DOES CLEAR IMAGES INSIST ON PLACING ADVERTISING ON MY WEBSITE?
A) No advertising from Clear Images, or any other company, is placed onto your website without your permission. Some customers may choose to have an Affiliate Link on so they can take full advantage of the Clear Images Referral Scheme but this is only done if requested or agreed to. Clear Images feels that the website is yours, you paid for it and you can decide what you want on it.
Q) HOW MUCH WILL I BE CHARGED IF I WANT RENEW MY WEBSITE PACKAGE WITH CLEAR IMAGES
A) The Clear Images Website Package will be the same price thoroughout 2009 - Unless there is a rise or fall in the VAT Rate. Customers can register for up to 5 years at the current price of £150 + VAT per year.
Q) IF I DECIDE I NO LONGER WANT A WEBSITE BEFORE MY ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION HAS EXPIRED AM I ENTITLED TO A REFUND
A) Unfortunately there is no entitlement to a refund once a website has been purchased.
Q) HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO START SELLING MY GOODS AND SERVICES ONLINE?
A) It is simple, all you need to do is to follow the link we provide at the bottom of this paragraph and upgrade or open an account with Paypal (If you already have an account with Paypal you may need to upgrade to a Business Account - Paypal do not charge a monthly fee for this service they charge by way of % commission on each sale but we have found they are amongst the most reasonable in the market), then you will follow our instructions on how to generate an HTML Code for each item or service you want to sell. You then send the complete code to us and we will upload it to your site for you. When the time comes simply call us and we will guide you through step by step.
Q) HOW MANY ITEMS CAN I SELL ON MY WEBSITE?
A) We have decided on a limit of 75 items per website design package as there is considerable time involved in us upload and positioning code on your website - if you need more than this please phone us to discuss your exact requirements we are more than happy to come to an arrangement on a case by case basis.
Q) HOW DO AFFILIATE SCHEMES WORK AND HOW DO I MAKE MONEY FROM THEM?
A) An Affiliate Scheme is a method of selling used by companies big and small, and has become big business, a company wants as many customers as possible so they are prepared to pay commissions to website owners like you - in order for you and them to track your sales they use a software programmed that generates a link that we will upload to your website for you the link which could be a few lines of text or an image. Then when someone that has visited your site clicks on that link they are sent to the Affiliate site and should they make a purchase you will receive a commission, the software that the Affiliate Scheme owners use tracks the person’s movement from when they arrive at the website and is able to tell when they purchase items or services. Our advice is to start with a few well known Affiliate Schemes and build from there, you should look for companies that visitors to your sites are going to be interested in e.g. if your a driving instructor you should think about linking to an Motor Insurance Company or maybe a Breakdown Service.
Q) HOW MUCH CAN I MAKE FROM AFFILIATE SCHEMES?
A) There are some websites that make massive amounts and there are some that don't make anything - to take the example of our driving instructor each person that purchases a policy by clicking through from the website would make the driving instructor between £30 and £60. All Affiliate Schemes pay differently, usually a percentage of what the value of the sale is. We will send you a list of ones we believe are worth looking at once you've purchased your website.
Q) DO I HAVE TO HAVE AFFILIATE SCHEMES ON MY WEBSITE?
A)Absolutley not, it is up to you whether you want to have Affiliate Scheme details on your website.
Q) IS THERE ANYTHING I CANNOT PUT ON MY SITE?
A) We do not allow pornography, racist, any offensive material on our sites and such material will not be uploaded. We also reserve the right to refuse to upload any material which we feel may cause offence to any reasonable person. We also reserve the right to remove material that we have uploaded at any time without notice. If you are in any doubt as to whether we will allow your material to be uesd on one of our websites please Contact Us (Please do not send us any example files, images or text a description will suffice) before you purchase a website package as no refunds will be made due to content that we have not allowed on our websites. Please note any material that is sent to us that breaches any civil or crimnal laws will immediately be forwarded to the relevant authorities along with full details of the sender.
